About This Product:
A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.
A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.
CoolDrive Racing resumed racing in Supercars in 2023, the team’s third full time season in the championship and the only single-car team on the grid. Racing the now unmistakable #3 blue CoolDrive Mustang is former Super2 Champion Todd Hazelwood, who joined the team after single season stints with Matt Stone Racing in 2022 and Brad Jones Racing in 2021.
The CoolDrive car has become a fan favourite in recent years, the beautiful blue paint job works incredibly well and certainly does the new Gen3 Mustang body shape justice with this 2023 season livery based on the Sydney SuperNight round.
This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.
A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pints, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.
This model has been produced in an exclusive, one-off limited edition of only 120 pieces with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity presented in its own, Authentic Collectables branded protective cardboard folder.
Once this model is sold out, it won’t be available again.
