Each Carcassonne expansion adds more unique mechanics to the game, and Carcassonne: The Tower is  no exception.

Certain tiles now allow the Lords of the region to erect towers to strenghten and promote their power and influence. They employ followers to stand guard on the towers, watching over the  land so they can inform their lords of all who travel and move  throughout the area. Players may "capture" the followers of an opponent.  This increases  the danger of many places on the board and causes folks to think twice  before placing their pawns.

Fans of Carcassonne will enjoy the new tactical opportunities offered by this expansion. The expansion also includes a special tower that holds all Carcassonne tiles, including expansions, allowing players  to  easily draw the tiles out and play them.  Increasing player  interaction  and allowing players to have more direct competition,  Carcassonne: the  Tower is yet another exciting addition to this series!
